Peter Dyck was born on August 12, 1855. His biological parents were Jewish. He married Katharina Wall (1859-1928) on October 20, 1878. Peter was a farmer and a minister. He and his wife settled on a homestead in Kronsgard district, north of Plum Coulee on the West Reserve in 1879. Peter became a deacon on March 15, 1894. His election as a minister at Rudenerweide took place on November 12, 1895. He died on March 26, 1931.
Scope and content note
This fonds consists of the sermons of Peter Dyck, a minister in the Sommerfelder Mennonite Church of Manitoba. The sermons in the collection were used during the period of 1888 to 1928. The sermons are primarily handwritten with a small portion of typed material.
