Gerhard G. Neufeld was born on October 20, 1902 in Osterwick, Chortitza Colony, South Russia. He was the oldest of eight surviving children born to Gerhard and Margaretha (nee Rempel) Neufeld. Neufeld was baptized on October 3, 1922 by Aeltester Peter Neufeld. In 1924, he married Maria Siemens on June 30th. Shortly after their first child, Helen, was born in 1926 they immigrated to Canada. All together they had eight children, four sons and four daughters. They lived their first six months in Canada in Reinland, Manitoba. After that they moved to Boissevain, Manitoba where they lived until 1932. They then moved to a farm in Manitou where they live until 1966. It was in Manitou that Neufeld was ordained in 1935 and served until the church dissolved in 1967. Neufeld sold his farm in 1966 and moved to Morden. His first wife died in November of 1969 and three years later he married Margaretha Loeffler. In 1977 he and his second wife moved to Winkler and then into the Salem Home due to failing health. Gerhard G. Neufeld died on August 11, 1988.
This fonds contains sermon notes for 65 sermonettes. They include a wide range of texts and topics covering the entire church year.
