Two Pre-Gathering 2025 Events, Wednesday, July 2 starting at 9:00 am.
These events are available to choose as part of the Gathering 2025 or U30 Gathering registration. Those not attending Gathering 2025 can register for ONLY a Pre-Gathering event.
You can choose one of two options (both include lunch):
OPTION ONE: Leadership Day: “Transformational Leadership – Leading in a time before…”
As part of this enriching Leadership Day, you will be able to connect with other leaders across the nationwide church, share in the connection you have as those “called” and “gifted” by God, and build your knowledge and capacity to serve.
Date/time: July 2, 2025 from 9am - 3:30pm.
Description:
We are excited to invite you to a special event featuring David Boshart, (President, AMBS) and Shana Peachy Boshart, (Shine Everywhere Project Facilitator, Shine Curriculum). Together, we will explore how to navigate the evolving landscape of congregational ministry, especially when the destination is unclear. Our key question for the day is: “How can we lead effectively in these fluid and chaotic times?” We aim to understand and value a clear sense of calling, which will ground us during the anxious times ahead.
Presentors:
David Boshart (President, AMBS) and Shana Peachey Boshart (Shine Everywhere Project Facilitator, Shine Curriculum). Carol Penner, (Director of Theological Studies, CGUC) will lead us in worship.
What to Expect:
- Worship and Connection: We will have dedicated times of worship – connecting to God and one another, acknowledging who we are and whose we are as we face the challenges of this season.
- Transformational Leadership: Embrace uncertainty and chaos with compassion, hope, expectation, and a spirit of experimentation. Together we will learn how to be effective leaders for this season.
- Shared Learning: Engage in the practice of ministry by sharing your experience, challenges, opportunities and where you find light for the journey.
