Japan Ministry

In partnership with the Tokyo Area Fellowship of Mennonite Church (TAFMC), Mennonite Church Canada seeks to strengthen the Anabaptist church in Japan and Canada to become a stronger community of faith, practicing and proclaiming the gospel of peace in each context by growing leaders for the Anabaptist congregations in Japan, supporting Japanese Mennonite churches in Canada and developing Japanese language resources for faith and leadership development.

Gerald and Rie Neufeld, from British Columbia, work as relationship catalysts between MC Canada and TAFMC, facilitating communication and exchange with Mennonites outside of Japan. They are walking with TAFMC as it envisions a repurposing of the Tokyo Anabaptist Centre for use with a new generation of Mennonites in Japan.

We have one month left to reach our Global Companionship goals for this year.

We are inviting your support for an additional $48,000 by the end of March!

Why Global Companionship?

The goal of mission is not primarily aid (humanitarian assistance); it’s not even partnership. We engage in mission to establish friendships that lead to the formation of a new people in the world... If we are in Christ, we have become part of a new creation.
