Title: Faith Mennonite Church (Leamington) fonds Dates: 1963-2013 Extent: 36 cm of textual records
Faith Mennonite Church was an outgrowth of the Leamington United Mennonite Church. It was supported by the Mission Board of the Conference of Mennonites in Canada. It was founded in part to have English language worship services. The congregation was formally organized in 1961. There were 57 members in 1963. In 1977 there were 136 members. In 1990 there were 210 members and 243 in 2000. The leaders of the congregation were: George Janzen (1961-1966), Jake Rempel (1967-1970), Arthur Wiebe (1970-1971), Peter Janzen (1972-1980), Edwin Epp (1981-1996), Glenn Brubacher (1997-2004).
The fonds contains bulletins (1963-1998, 2000-2002), newsletters (1978-1993), directories (1969-1994), correspondence and reports (1961-1970), congregational meeting minutes (1991-1995), and annual reports (1991-1995). The records document the activities and development of the congregation, its leaders and participants.
