The Mission Board of the Conference of Mennonites in Canada began a work to assist families in the Park Valley area of Saskatchewan in 1959. The families were scattered. The regular attendees were few. So the work struggled until it finally closed in 1987. The membership never went much above 20. The leaders of the mission were: Peter Funk (1959-1962), Cornelius Boldt (1963-1969), Jake Giesbrecht (1971-1981), Abe Bergen (1982).
This fonds consists of correspondence (1959-1966), reports (1959-1964), and photographs (1959-[196-?]) which pertain to the development of a Mennonite congregation in Park Valley/Big River area of Saskatchewan.
