The first Mennonite worship organized in Prince Albert was in 1942. They were served by leaders from the Hoffnungsfelder Gemeinde. It began being served by the Canadian conference Mission Board in 1946 meeting in homes. In 1951 they began using rented facilities for a meeting house. In 1955 they completed their own meeting house. It became an independent congregation in 1961 The membership was 23 in 1962. A larger meeting house was completed in 1973. In 1974 the membership was 37. It had nearly doubled by 1985 to 67. In 2001 it was 78. The leaders of the congregation were: Johannes Regier (1942-1946), Gladys and Isaac Epp (1946-1949), Tina and Ruben Siemens (1950-1951), Anne and John Wiens (1952-1954), Mary and Isaac Enns (1955-1961), Tena and Clarence Epp (1961-1967), Kay and Orville Andres (1968-1975), Dorothy and Jake Giesbrecht (1978-1980), Lois and Ray Kennedy (1980-1981), Bev and Clare Neufeld (1981-1990), Emma and Reuben Baerg, Anne and Bernie Retzlaff (1990-1991), Anne and Verner Friesen (1991-1994), Ed Olfert (1995- )
The fonds contains correspondence (1959-1970), bulletins (1963-2002), member list (1968), annual reports (1974-1993), constitution (1991), and directories (1974-1994). The records pertain to the founding and development of the Mennonite congregation in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. They document some of the leaders and participants of the congregation.
