Mennonites settled in the Jansen area of Saskatchewan in the mid 1920s. In 1928 a congregation was formed in Jansen. In 1931 there were 22 members. It remained at that number until 1962 with 16 members and then the congregation dissolved. The leaders of the congregation were: Jacob Riesen (1925-1929), Johann Friesen (1933-1962).
The fonds contains correspondence (1933-1975), congregational statistics (1940-1941), marriage registrations and forms (19-), marriage act (1933), and membership and family register (1925-1949). The records pertain to the founding and development of the Mennonite congregation at Jansen, Saskatchewan and they document some of the participants in the congregation.
