Historical note

Wildwood Mennonite Church was established in 1975 through the combined efforts of the Conference of Mennonites in Canada mission board and the local Mennonite congregations in Saskatoon. In 1976 the congregation was formally organized with 27 charter members. They met in rented facilities until 1980 when their own meeting house was completed. Until 1980 they were known as College Park Mennonite Church. The membership was 66 in 1981. In 1986 the meeting hous was expanded. In 1990 the membership was 118 and in 2000 it was 123. The leaders of the congregation were: John Kroeker (1976-1978), Elsie and Delmar Epp (1978-1989), Jake Klassen (1990), Les Klassen Hamm (1991- ).

Scope and content note

This fonds consists of bulletins, annual reports, directories, constitutions, minutes, newsletters, programmes, and a brief congregational history which pertain to the founding and development of the congregation. It documents the leaders and participants in the congregation. There are bulletins (1977-2017), annual reports (1976-1993), directories (1977-1996), constitutions (1977-1981), congregational meeting minutes (1978-1981), newsletters which also contain summaries of meetings but not actual minutes (1981-1997), programmes (1986-1997), and a brief congregational history (1986).
